Jerry L. Martin, 76, of Cadwell died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 South Vine Street, Arthur. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Shrader Funeral Home.

Jerry was born January 1, 1942 in Tuscola, the son of Clifford Earl and Mary Ethel Birch Martin. He married Bertha "Bert" Beyke in Forrest City on January 3, 1970; she preceded him in death on August 25, 2010.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Kelly Martin of Cadwell; Jennifer (Chet) Melton of Ridgeville, South Carolina; 2 sisters, Betty Phalen and Sandra Jo Martin both of Arthur; 3 grandchildren, Jack Martin, Grant and Ellie Melton.

Jerry was a member of the Arthur High School Class of 1960. He attended auctioneer school in Kansas City, Kansas and enjoyed working sales. In addition, he was a livestock farmer and worked for Jonathan Creek Township for over 15 years.
