Jerry D. Drake, 67, of Atwood, IL passed away at 4:41 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with Rev. Willard Kauffman officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement, IL.

Mr. Drake was born February 3, 1946 in Tuscola, IL the son of Ernest and Mabel Pickle Drake. He married Deborah Lindstrom in August 1971 in Bement, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include: 3 sons: Steve Drake and wife Christina of Atwood; Randy Drake and wife Sheri of Pierson; Timmy Drake of Atwood; daughter: Amanda Drake and fiancée Mario Reardon of Atwood; 5 grandchildren: Anthony Drake, Shawn Drake, Chris Drake, Embrey Reardon and Coby Drake and 2 step grandchildren: Kaycee Moran and Sammi Deel and 2 step great grandchildren . Also surviving are 4 brothers: Dennis Drake of Arcola; Larry Drake of Atwood; Danny Drake of Arthur; and Jesse Drake of Mattoon and 2 sisters: Vera Mueller of Arcola and Pam Drake of Lovington.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Ronnie Drake and sister: Donna Mitsdarffer.

He worked in the fertilizer industry for over 30 years and retired from United Prairie in February 2008. Jerry was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing and watching little league baseball. He loved spending time with his grandkids and a cold Bud Light.
