Beulah Jean Kistler, 95, of Arthur, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 at the Arthur Home
Jean was born on September 24, 1929 in Ramsey, Illinois, the daughter of Clyde and Roxie Lippert Rhodes. She married the love of her life, Wallace D. Kistler, on September 24, 1950 and he survives.
Also surviving are her son, Jerry (Gayle) Kistler; grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Kincaid and Michael (Andrea) Kistler; and four great grandsons, Lincoln, Hudson, Ajax, and Maxton.
Jean was a devoted and active member of the Arthur United Methodist Church, where her strong faith in the Lord was a guiding force throughout her life. She had a passion for travel, and she and Wally spent many joyful winters in warmer climates, creating cherished memories together. As leaders of the Arthur Explorer Scouts, they dedicated many years to organizing paper drives and selling Christmas trees, fostering a sense of community and service.
Jean's commitment to service extended to the Lions Club, where she actively participated and supported Wally during his tenure as District Governor. Known for her kindness and loving nature, Jean touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Arthur United Methodist Church with the memorial service at noon. Pastor Danny Powell will officiate. Shrader Funeral Home, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Arthur United Methodist Church, 128 E. Illinois Street, Arthur.
