Obituary
Jean Marie Vallow Keen of Tuscola, IL, passed away July 13, 2012 after an extended period of ill health.
Jean was born on September 10, 1925 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of William Byron and Anna Amelda O'Brien Vallow. On January 2, 1945, she married Lavern Clayton "Pete" Keen who proceeded her in death. Also proceeding Jean were her parents, brother Charles and twin infant siblings, brother Daniel, and sister Frances.
Jean was a homemaker, secretary and Mary Kay consultant for many years.
Surviving Jean are her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Peggy Keen of Robinson, IL, grandsons Ryan Clayton of Robinson and Sean Patrick and fiancé Shara Green of Champaign, IL. Also surviving are a brother William and half-brother Robert, numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews and treasured friends and neighbors.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Tuscola Senior Center.
