J.C. was born on January 23, 1955 in Paris, IL, the son of Sam and Bonnie Seaton Sigler.

J.C. married Lawana "Cis" Plunk on December 28, 1984 in Odessa, TX. She survives.

Survivors include his daughters Cassandra (Artie) Rowe of Tenmile, TN, Shelby (Daniel) Patton of Villa Grove, IL and Samantha (Luis) Vazquez of Tuscola, IL.
Grandchildren Reagan (Dustin) Schmidt, Hayden Scott, Andrea "Hall" Patton (Justin Taylor), Lucas Patton, Gyzelle Vazquez, Clara Patton, Joshua Vazquez, Isaiah Vazquez and Ezra Vazquez.
Great granddaughters Ziva Schmidt and Ada Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Carie Sue Sigler.

He was a 1973 graduate of Tuscola High School. He worked for Hoke Construction before starting Sigler Construction in 1983.

J.C. was the man who never knew a stranger, whether it was through the sports he participated in, the social hours he attended or the many community events that he volunteered for or put together himself.

He was a loyal member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers and Illini fan. He enjoyed watching many sports on tv and spending time with his family. He loved relaxing in his chair with his cats Casey, Pearl and Gabby on his lap.

Giving advice, making jokes, being ornery and being there for anyone at anytime were some of his best qualities. He made sure to always do right by others. His life motto was "The most important thing you will ever have in your life is your name, so do not ruin it" He also said "To live every day like it is your last". Which is exactly what he did.

Everyone who knew him knows that he was one in a million and he had a special unique bond with every single person in his life. He was very blessed with so many wonderful friends who he considered as family.

We all take comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with his beloved daughter Carie in heaven.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola Moose Lodge or donor's choice.
