Janice M. Stilwell, 89, of Atwood, IL, passed away on Thursday evening, December 4, 2025 at Accolade Healthcare of Savoy.

Janice was born on July 1, 1936, the daughter of Earl and Ruth Demlow Johnson. She married James M. Stilwell on December 4, 1953 in Arcola, Janice passed away on their 72nd wedding anniversary. He survives.

Also surviving are her daughter: Chris Barrett of Atwood, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law: Margaret Jo Stilwell of Atwood, brother: Gary L. Johnson of St. Joseph, sister: Mary E. Blacker of Homer.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons: Steven M. Stilwell and James E. Stilwell, twin sister: Joyce Gregory and brother: Thomas E. Johnson.

Janice was a member of the Lake Fork Church, rural Atwood and she formerly worked at the Atwood Meat Service for 37 years.
