Janice A. Davis, 69, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 7:45 pm, Sunday, February 7, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL
Janice was born on December 4, 1940 in Atwood, IL, the daughter of Sam and Minerva Turner Gulley. She married Mervin E. Davis on March 6, 1959 in Sullivan, IL. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1996.
Survivors include her daughter: Deborah S. Downs of Clinton, IN, 2 Grandsons: Shawn Downs and wife: Kristen,Chris Downs and wife: Ashley, 1 Great-Grandson: Landon Downs, 2 Brothers: James "Don" Gulley of Atwood and Lynn Gulley of Tuscola, 2 Sisters: Betty Myers of Champaign and Virginia Mulvaney of Humboldt, and a very special friend: Terry Snodgrass of Atwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society
Janice retired from Schrock's Cabinet Factory in Arthur, where she had worked for over 20 years.
She loved Christmas and her candles. She was very quick witted and she loved her grandkids very much.
