Obituary
James A. Looser, 73, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 2:30 A.M., Monday, April 14, 2008 at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Looser was born on September 26, 1934 in Staunton, IL, the son of Edward and Marie Cool Looser. He married Dolores Elizabeth Schaefer Snyder on September 14, 1961 in Champaign, IL. She preceded him in death on July 19, 2002.
Survivors include: 1 Step-Son: Jerry Snyder of Las Vegas, NV, 1 Sister: Mary Prevedel of Florissant, MO, 3 Granddaughters, 6 Great-Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by 1 Step-Son: Kenneth Snyder, 1 Brother and 1 Sister
Memorials are suggested to the Provena Covenant Hospice Program
Mr. Looser was a retired chemical operator, having worked for Quantum-USI Chemical Company in Tuscola for 40 years. He was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, Tuscola, IL. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran.
