James E. "Jim" Weber, 70, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 10:48 a.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Pastor Sandy Hire officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Camargo Cemetery, Camargo, IL.
Mr. Weber was born May 25, 1944 in Tuscola, IL the son of Verlin "Frank" and Marjorie "Ruth" Waldrop Weber.
He married Lesa Williams on November 12, 1977 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include his children: Phillip (Vicky) Weber of Ashville, NC; Christine Nugen of Ft. Worth, TX; Brian Weber of Atlanta, GA; Maria Checkley and Kyle Weber of Tuscola, IL; grandchildren: Leah, Wesley, Wayne, Brandon, Conner, Ashley, Brian, Jr., Justin, Alexis, James, Gavin, Jacob and Mallory; great-grandchildren: Miley and Christopher; siblings: Barbara (Rick) Grimm of Savoy, IL; Carol (Bill) Walker of Waukegan, IL; David (Sunny) Weber of Thailand; Bob Weber of Savoy, IL; Sharon (Jim) Athanis of Waukegan, IL and John (Cindy) Weber of Urbana, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son: Cory Weber.
Jim graduated from Tuscola Community High School class of 1962. He worked for Trunkline Gas Company for many years. He later worked at Kraft Foods as a maintenance analyst. He was a member of the Camargo United Methodist Church, Wheels Car Club and the NHRA.
Jim enjoyed astronomy, building and anything to do with cars and custom street rods. He enjoyed listening to, buying, selling and trading vinyl. He formerly owned Street and Strip Speed Shop. Jim was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan. The loves of this life where his God, his family and his friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Weber Family or a charity of the donor's choice.
