James H. "Jim" Johnson, 48, of Tuscola, IL passed away at home surrounded by his family at 2:02 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.

Mr. Johnson was born March 31, 1966 in Monticello, IL the son of Jack Johnson and Diane Dallas.

Jim is survived by his mother: Diane Durnil of Mattoon, IL; step-mother: Pat Johnson of Atwood, IL; 2 sons: Kevin Patton and Robert Patton both of Mattoon, IL; daughter: Kimberly Johnson of Mattoon, IL; 3 brothers: Jeff (Anja) Johnson of Junction City, KS; Bill Trinkle of Tuscola, IL and Brad Benson of Atwood, IL; 2 sisters: Joanne Johnson of Tuscola, IL and Nicki DeGrofft of Bement, IL; his grandmothers: Leatha Romine of Brocton, IL and Clarice Dallas of Arcola, IL; 5 grandchildren: Chase, Landon, Maddyx, James and Maelyn and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandfathers, uncle: Charlie Romine and cousin: Cindy Bassett.

Jim liked music, fishing, hunting, computers and photography. He truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, friends and many family members.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
