Obituary

James R. "Jim" Huser, 82, of Tuscola, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 4, 2024 at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.

Graveside Services with military rites for the US Navy Veteran will be held immediately following the visitation at the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
Jim was born on September 16, 1942 in Tuscola, the son of James H. and Ruth M. Fetherolf Huser. He married Hilda Withers on October 6, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters: Jamie A. (Joe) Christopher of Lake St. Louis, MO and Kelly D. Huser of Springfield, IL, grandchildren: Ashley Wright, Meghan Christopher, Jenna Christopher, James R. Springer and Nicole Springer, great-grandchildren: Cameron Stumbo, Kaitlyn Stumbo, Emmett Wright and Gavin Wright and his 2 dogs: Rory and Ravven.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son: James Arthur Huser, brother: Arthur E. Huser and granddaughter: Tiffany Springer.

Jim was a US Navy Veteran. He worked as an engineering manager for Kraft Foods for 34 years and he also worked for Henneman Engineering for 15 years. He traveled to many places in the US and the world while working for both companies. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Urbana Masonic Lodge.

Memorials are suggested to the Douglas County Animal Shelter.
