Obituary
James B. Honn, 89, of Arcola, IL, passed away at 1:51 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Shrader Funeral Home, 204 North Locust Street, Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery with military graveside rites accorded.
James was born on November 1, 1925 in Arcola, IL, the son of Peter Paul and Ruby Honn. He married Barbara I. Bryant on March 5, 1950 in Arcola, IL. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2012.
Survivors include his sons: Doug (Sheila) Honn and Jeff (Sherry) Honn both of Effingham, IL, Jay (Cindy) Honn of Arcola, IL, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
Mr. Honn was a US Navy Veteran, where he served as an aviation radioman. He formerly worked at USI Chemical Company in Tuscola and for the Monahan Company in Arcola. He also worked as an all-around handyman.
