James Glen "Jim" Feagin, 76, of Newman, IL, passed away at 1:50 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Newman Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Newman, IL
Private services will be held at a later date in Florida.
Jim was born on January 6, 1935 in Denmark, AR, the son of Leo and Rosie Lee Jones Feagin. He married Bette Jean Martin on April 21, 1959 in Iowa. She preceded him in death on March 22, 2011.
Survivors include his son: Jeffrey (Doris) Feagin of Lake City, FL and a daughter: Laurie LeRiche of Daytona Beach, FL, granddaughter: Jacqueline Lynn Feagin of Lake City, FL and two step-granddaughters: Daisy Robinson and family of Lake City, FL and Crystal Rodriguez and family also of Lake City, FL, brother: Eugene (Sammie) Feagin of Searcy, AR and a sister: Glenda (James) Howard of Gilmer, TX
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim was a retired welder. He was referred to as the best pool player in Douglas County. Jim enjoyed fishing, gardening and mushroom hunting. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and Dallas Cowboys fan.
Memorials may be made to the family.
