James Arthur "Buckshot" O'Bryan, 79, of Tuscola, IL, passed away peacefully at 1:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2013 at his residence.
Services celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Pastor Van Brooks officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
Buckshot was born on April 18, 1934 in Sidney, IL, the son of Marshall and Carmen Hall O'Bryan. He married Patricia Hausmann on September 12, 1955 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter: Jane Becker and husband: Terry of Effingham, IL, granddaughters: MacKenzie Becker and Mallory Becker, brother: Fred O'Bryan, sisters: Delores Stoeger, Thelma Berbaum and Lela O'Bryan all of Champaign, IL and Helen Collins of Seattle, WA, granddog: Tootsie
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Vern O'Bryan, Robert O'Bryan and Harold O'Bryan.
Buckshot worked as an auto parts salesman for 50 years. He enjoyed playing cards, taking his wife to play bingo and spending time with his granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Buckshot served in the US Army.
Memorials are suggested to the Carle Hospice Unit.
