James T. "Tom" Anderson, 78, of Garrett, IL, passed away at 2:50 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main St., Tuscola, IL with Rev. Patty Johanson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL with military graveside rites accorded.
Mr. Anderson was born June 2, 1929 in Tolono, IL the son of George Washington and Lula Jane Austin Anderson. He married Marion Lydia Reinhardt on May 26, 1952 in Tolono, IL. She survives.

Anderson, Jr. and wife: Anita of Tuscola, IL; George Anderson of Tuscola, IL; Christopher Anderson and wife: Kim of Phoenix, AZ; and Denny Anderson of Tuscola, IL; 7 Daughters: Debra Shields of Scottsdale, AZ; Linda Anderson of Tuscola, IL; April Rhodes and husband: Steve of Scottsdale, AZ; Marion Anderson of Garrett, IL; Betty Hall and husband: Duane of Arcola, IL; Peggy Billman and husband: Eric of Tolono, IL; and Helen Koch and husband: Joe of Oswego, IL; 2 Sisters: Lu Gregg and Mary Olden both of Tolono, IL; 23 Grandchildren: Jennifer Anderson, Jamie Anderson, Stacy Anderson, Lisa Anderson, Jeffery Anderson, Sammy Anderson, Kristina Anderson, Autumn Lingafelter, Alex Lingafelter, Steven Rhodes II, Keith Hall, Michelle Hall, Amber Anderson, Russell Anderson II, Chad Billman, Brandon Billman, Chantal Billman, Athena Anderson, Stephanie Anderson, Dakota Conner, George Anderson, Jr., Zachary Anderson, and Alyssa Anderson; 2 Great-Grandsons: Dallas Nelson and Steven Rhodes III.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his Parents and 3 Brothers: Aaurna, John and Roscoe Anderson
Tom was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a former member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge. He was a Maintenance Mechanic and Welder at USI Chemical Plant for 37 years, retiring in 1991. He was always a hard worker, but most of all he was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.
