Jack Shook, 81, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Gowin Parc, Mattoon, IL
Private family services will be held. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is entrusted with the arrangements.
Jack was born on October 30, 1933 in Atwood, IL, the son of Haskell and Geneva Dukeman Shook. He married Marie Wilhelm on October 12, 1956 in Atwood, IL, they later divorced and she preceded him in death in July 2004.
Survivors include his daughter: Jarie (John) Stonecipher of Newman, IL and his granddaughter: Kylee (Darin) Peterson of Troy, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Donald Pierson and Haskell Shook.
Jack retired from the University of Illinois Athletic Association, having worked in the Pro Shop at the Orange and Blue Golf Course in Savoy.
Jack loved all animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed growing different plants and flowers. He loved to watch old movies, especially westerns and MGM musicals. Jack was a very loving, caring and devoted father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family.
