Jack Eugene Kemp, 87, of Charleston, died at 6:48 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Villas of Holly Brook in Charleston.

Jack was born January 18, 1935 in Macoupin County, the son of William and Mildred Harp Kemp. He married Carol Arnett in Tupelo, Mississippi on Dec.19, 1955; she preceded him death on November 29, 2018.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Jodi Brimner of Charleston; Peggy Camp of Florida; 6 grandchildren, Travis, Adam (Kori), Taylor, and Gunnar Brimner; Jami Goetten, Whitney Camp; 5 great grandchildren, Karter, Kroy, and Klay Brimner; Maggie Goetten, and Charleigh Gansz; 2 brothers, Bob and David; 2 sisters, Carol Ann, and Mary Lou.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rob; 2 brothers, James and Bill; 1 sister, Peggy Sue.

Jack was a Toms distributor in the Coles County area. He was a member of the Air Force National Guard.

There will be no services. Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, is assisting the family with arrangements.
