Ivadene E. "Ivy" Snyder, 83, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 11:28 am, Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Amber Glen Alzheimer Special Care Center, Urbana, IL
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 10 am, Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Snyder was born on October 23, 1926 in Camargo, IL, the daughter of Willard and Mary Howard Price. She married William Price on June 25, 1944 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1958. She married James W. Snyder on May 20, 1961 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1989.
Survivors include her son: Darrell Price and wife: Peggy of Urbana, daughter: Theresa Rogers and husband: Kirk of Tuscola, step-son: Jerry Snyder of Las Vegas, NV, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, sisters: Martha Dugan and Faye Smitson both of Carmel, IN, Judy Backstrom of Queen Valley, AZ,
She was preceded in death by her step-son: Ken Snyder and sisters: Marguerite Read and Betty Jane McGinn
Ivy was a member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ and the Tuscola Chapter #44 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing and playing cards. Ivy was very proud of her kids and grandkids. The family would like to thank the staff of Amber Glen for taking excellent care of Ivy.
