Obituary

Irene M. Reinhart, 80, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 1:03 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola, IL with Father John Titus officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 P.M. (Noon) until 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Pesotum, IL

Mrs. Reinhart was born on December 28, 1928 in Champaign County, IL, the daughter of Sam and Rose Tincher Elder. She married Eugene E. Reinhart on February 10, 1948 in Urbana, IL. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1988.

Survivors include her children: Terry Reinhart and wife Barbara of Bloomington, IL, Rick Reinhart and wife Chris of Tuscola, IL, and Pam Negangard and husband Roger of Sidney, IL, 8 Grandchildren: Jennifer and Brian Swalla of Elkton, MD; Terra and Matthew Hicks of Noblesville, IN; Beth and Nate Lown of Collinsville, IL; Brian Reinhart of Bethalto, IL; Kyle Negangard of Sidney, IL; Mitch Negangard of Sidney, IL; Daniel and April Brenner of Chesapeake, VA; Lance and Chris Brenner of Charlottesville, VA and 5 Great-Grandchildren: Taylor and Ashley Swalla; Peter and Thomas Hicks and Ben Lown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: George, Bob and Pat Elder and 2 sisters: Eileen Bender and Dollie Stowe.

Irene was a homemaker who loved the country life and farmed with her husband Gene for 35 years on the Reinhart Farm. Irene loved the fields and her garden. She worked at the University of Illinois for 16 years in the production staff research lab of the Agriculture and Consumer Economics Science Dept. She worked with a class of students everyday. She enjoyed those years and adopted every student she worked with. Irene was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great pride and joy in her kids and grandkids accomplishments. She was their # 1 fan. Irene was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, Tuscola, IL
