Ike Johnson, 84, of Atwood, IL passed away at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36 Atwood, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.
Mr. Johnson was born January 4, 1928 in Allen County, KY the son of John Thomas and Omer Belle (Sailors) Johnson. He married Frances "Frankie" Jobe on March 16, 1949 in Bowling Green, KY. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2001.
Ike is survived by 2 Sons: Dale Johnson of Oakland, IL; Alan (Rayna) Johnson of Tuscola, IL; Daughter: Sara (Eric) Conner of Nashville, IL; 4 Grandchildren: Ben Conner of Arthur, IL; Drew Conner of Nashville, IL; Kyle Dehart Johnson of Tuscola, IL and Andrea Dehart Johnson of Tuscola, IL; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Anthony Conner of Mt. Vernon, IL and Chloe Smith Conner of Hammond, IL and a Sister: Gener May of Franklin, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 Brothers: Jerd, Paul James and Bill and a Sister: Ellen.
Mr. Johnson worked for many years at Schrock's Cabinet Factory in Arthur, IL. He was a member of the Hammond Church of Christ in Hammond, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hammond Church of Christ.
