Obituary

Beloved son, Henry Alexander Owen passed away on Thursday, January 26th, 2017.

Henry was a Tuscola resident for the last four years. He had finished his Associates Degree at Lakeland College and then went on to finish his degree at Eastern Illinois University. He was currently taking a break to re-assess his desires. He was going to be a teacher, hopefully in Tuscola.

He was born and raised in Decatur Township, Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1988.   We were all incredibly thankful when he was born.

His mother, Julianne Klapkowski from Hammond, Indiana did finally get her turkey dinner on his 1st birthday. She preceded him in death.

He was a six- letter athlete in high school wrestling and as the varsity girl's track team athletic trainer.

He loved Tuscola with its quaint, warm simplistic way of life. It was very much unlike the big city of Indy.   That's why he had decided to relocate here and become part of the community.   His Colts were never far from his heart. Even though I did everything I could to try to convince him he had to be a Bears fan to live here. He was, they were just second place in his heart.

The joys in his life were family first. Then music, golf, athletics and he loved working out in the gym pumping iron. Ever since he was young he was drawn to babies. He would look for them wherever he went and always wanted to go up to them. He always said they are just so innocent and fragile. He truly would have been a wonderful father and a fine contribution to our community.  He will be missed by many.  His heart was as big as the moon. And would always help anyone in need.

He loved his grandparents, Raymond E. and Lina Jo Owen. They were his biggest supporters after his mother's death. He just buried his "Gimpa" Raymond E. Owen last Friday.

He is survived by his father, Craig L. Owen and his "Gimma" Lina Jo Owen both of Tuscola and many other extended family members.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

A private ceremony was held on Wednesday afternoon at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, IL. His body will be cremated to be kept close to his family at all times, which is what he loved.
