Obituary
Helen F. Skinner, 85, formerly of Tuscola, IL, died at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her daughter's home in Greer, SC.
There will be a private interment at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL
Mrs. Skinner was born on July 12, 1924 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Gus and Sophia Tingos Flesor. She married William E. Skinner on January 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2006.
Survivors include a son: Gregory Gus Skinner of Waterloo, IL, a daughter: Esther Louise Boyer and husband: Brad of Greer, SC and two grandchildren: Jamie M. Skinner of St. Louis, MO and Brian W. Skinner of Waterloo, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers (James, John George and Paul), three sisters (Mary, Sophia and Viola) and a granddaughter: Stacy M. Skinner.
Mrs. Skinner was a homemaker and worked for her father at the Candy Kitchen for 30 years.
Mrs. Skinner attended school in Tuscola and graduated from TCHS Class of "1941". She was a member of the Tuscola Order of Eastern Star #44 and the First Presbyterian Church of Effingham, IL.
