Helen Louise Hopson Parrish, 72, of Hammond, IL, Loving Wife, Mother & Granny, died at 5:07 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. K. Richard Kim officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2006 and 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hammond Cemetery, Hammond, IL.

Mrs. Parrish was born on October 4, 1933 in Altheimer, Arkansas, the daughter of Frank and Mary Brown Hopson. She married Edward R. Parrish on April 7, 1951 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He survives.

Other survivors include: 1 Son: Dennis Parrish and wife: Greta of Atwood, IL, 1 Daughter: Johanna Samara and husband: John of Danvers, IL, 2 Brothers: Otis Hopson and John Hopson both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 7 Grandchildren: Jessica Samara, Joshua Samara, Jennifer Samara, Dustin Parrish, Brandon Parrish, Tamara Parrish, Mekenzie Parrish, Special Friends: Bobby & Carol Arnett

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 1 Son: Stephan Parrish, 1 Brother: Frank Hopson, 3 Sisters: Lena Hutcheson, Velma Palmer, Eva Mae Shipman

Mrs. Parrish retired from Schrock Cabinet Company in Arthur, IL, where she worked for 20 years.
