Helen B. Brewer, 97, of Atwood, IL, died 9:43 A.M. Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Lake Fork United Church of Christ, 345 North 1475 East Road, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Conrad Heisner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood, IL. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL has been entrusted by the family with the arrangements.

Mrs. Brewer was born August 3, 1908 in rural Atwood, IL, the daughter of Arthur and Katuria Beighle Harshbarger. She married Oscar M. Brewer on July 28, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1983.

Survivors include: Daughter-In-Law: Ann Brewer of Atwood, IL, 3 Grandchildren: Pamela Utterback and husband: Chet of Atwood, IL, Bart Brewer of Tuscola, IL, Brandie King and husband: Jodell of Las Vegas, NV
3 Great-Grandchildren: Harlen Utterback, Tyler Erixson, Amaya King

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 Son: Paul Brewer, 1 Daughter: Mary Ann Brewer, 1 Sister: Ruth Cordts, 1 Granddaughter

Mrs. Brewer was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the Lake Fork United Church of Christ and the Women's Fellowship at the church.
She was involved for many years with the Piatt County Red Cross. She was a member of the Piatt County Home Extension. She loved to mow her yard.
