Hazel Roberts, 102, of Arthur, died at 7:55 PM Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Arthur Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Arthur United Methodist Church, 128 E. Illinois Street, Arthur, with Rev. Leroy Allison officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is in charge of arrangements.
Hazel was born July 1, 1909 in Arcola, the daughter of Orville and Zeta Cash Roberts.
She is survived by her great niece, Pamela Resler of Joplin, Missouri.
Hazel was a former seamstress at Progress Industries in Arthur; had worked for Dr. Phillips for 23 years; and had been a clerk at Dick's Pharmacy in Arthur from 1964-1988. She was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church and the Arthur Women's Club. She had lived in the home place since 1928 and loved to piece quilts.
