Obituary

Harold Lee Norfleet, 74, of Tuscola, IL, formerly of the Dix and Centralia, IL area, died at 7:45 P.M., Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Scott Zorn officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Monday, December 11, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery, Paris, IL

Mr. Norfleet was born on June 26, 1932 in Jefferson County, near Dix, IL, a son of Kenneth W. and Nina Copple Norfleet. He married Dora Mae Hamilton on June 18, 1955 in Champaign, IL.

Survivors include his wife: Dora Mae, Two Sons: Michael J. Norfleet and his wife: Ronda F. of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Charles W. Norfleet and his wife: Rhonda Ann of Wichita, Kansas, Three Grandsons, One Granddaughter, One Sister: Ann Shanholtzer Shaw of Gifford, Illinois

He was preceded in death by his mother, father & stepmother.

Mr. Norfleet graduated from Centralia High School, Centralia Junior College, University of Illinois, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1954 and the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO, where he received his Master's Degree in 1963.

He was employed as a mathematics teacher for 32 years. He taught at Brocton High School, Mansfield High School, Mascoutah High School, Centralia High School and he also farmed for several years.

He served in the US Army from 1955 - 1957. He and his wife served as co-managers of Oil Belt Christian Service Camp, Flora, IL. He also served as a deacon and elder of Hickory Street Christian Church, Centralia, IL. He and his wife are members of the Tuscola First Christian Church.
