Harold C. Evans, 85, of Tuscola, IL, passed away on Friday morning, May 10, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, IL, with Rev. Terri Haas officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the SAM Food Pantry.

Harold was born on May 6, 1934 in Brookville, IN, the son of Clifford and Irene Gesell Evans. He married Judith A. Rice on July 15, 1962 in Ambia, IN. She survives.

Also surviving is his son: Kirk (Pamela) Evans of Tuscola and grandsons: John and Gregory Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Marvin Evans and sister: MaryLou Schnitker.

Harold graduated from Purdue University in Crop and Soil Sciences. He retired as a lab technician from the USI Chemical Company in Tuscola in 1991. He then went to work at Caradco in Rantoul for 5 years.

Harold was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church and the TNT Sunday School Class. He and his wife were very involved helping with the SAM Food Pantry and the After-School Program.

Harold was the Electrical Inspector for the City of Tuscola for several years.

He enjoyed anything that had to do with electricity and spending time with his grandsons.
