Harley L. Phillips, 86, of Champaign, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 1:20 am, Monday, April, 5, 2010 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. James Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL
Harley was born on December 29, 1923 in
Sadorus Township, IL., the son of Virgil C. and Jeannette G. Lewis Phillips.
He marred Norma L. Koritz on May 29, 1949 in Champaign, IL. She survives.

Sadorus, IL, Jane Kappes and husband: Dennis of Tuscola, IL, Herbert Phillips and wife: Cassandra of Texarkana, AR, seven grandchildren: Chad Kappes and wife: Nicole, Stacey Walton and husband: Eric, Katrina Kappes, Brandon Reifsteck and wife: Christina Reifsteck, Jonathan Reifsteck, Kristen Reifsteck and Joshua Phillips, 2 great-grandchildren: Ethan Reifsteck and Mia Lynn Reifsteck
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Doris O'Bryan
Harley farmed in the Tuscola area until 1956. He worked as a mail carrier at the US Post Office in Tuscola, from 1956 until his retirement in 1984.
Harley was a very active member of the Pesotum United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the United Methodist Men.
