Haleen E. Eaton, 79, of Arcola, IL, passed away at 10:42 pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Arcola Township Cemetery, Arcola, IL. No visitation will be held. Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola, IL is handling the arrangements.

Haleen was born August 26, 1937 in Jasper County, IL, the daughter of Harry and Anna Gowins.

Survivors include her children: Ed (Debbie) Davis of Mattoon, IL; Cliff (Ann) Eaton of Nashville, TN and Christie Peters of Arcola, IL; grandchildren: Josh (Teigan Craft) Peters, Jared Peters, Angela Austin, Shawn Davis, Crystal Davis, Mike Davis, Ryan Johnson and Whitney Williams and a sister-in-law: Clella Gowins of Newton, IL.

Haleen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Robert and Rosie.

She was a nature lover and enjoyed watching and feeding birds.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arcola Public Library.
