Obituary
Gwendolyn Sue Roberts, 81, of Decatur, formerly of Arthur, died at 5:25 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at her residence in Decatur.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Arthur Cemetery with Rev. Leroy Allison officiating. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gwendolyn was born July 4, 1933 in Arthur, the daughter of Elmer and Helen Hood Robinson. She married Edward Roberts in Ypsilanti, Michigan on December 28, 1977; he preceded her in death on May 27, 2011.
Survivors include 3 nieces, Diane (Curt) Canfield of Springfield; Beverly (Paul) Ernst of Moweaqua; Cindy Bernard of Lovington; nephew, Michael Bernard and his significant other Melanie Walsh of Lovington; and brother-in-law, Robert Bernard of Neoga. She was preceded in death by her sister, Yvonne Bernard and brother, Gene Robinson.
Gwendolyn had worked on a small parts assembly line for Ford Motor Company.
