Gladys Thelma Stuart, 90, of Arthur, died at 6:08 a.m. Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Arthur Home.

Gladys was born April 21, 1934 in Grayson, Kentucky, the daughter of George and Mary Shain Ashley.  She married Wayne Stuart in Louisville, Kentucky on March 14, 1951; he preceded her in death on January 10, 2015.

Survivors include 3 sons, Michael (Jan) Stuart of Troy; Patrick (Julia) Stuart of Ward, AR; Timothy  (Dee) Stuart of Lexington; daughter, Susan (Chip) McKee of Terre Haute, IN; brother, John Richard Ashley of Channahan; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Frank and David Ashley.

Gladys worked at Progress Industries and cooked for Schrock Cabinets and the Arthur Nursing Home.  She loved her family and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.  Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Jill Bunker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery.
