Georgia A. Barr, 84, of Garrett, IL, passed away at 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Joseph Carter officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cartwright Cemetery, rural Tuscola, IL.

Mrs. Barr was born on August 18, 1924 in Moultrie County, IL, the daughter of George and Blanche Mumper Oye. She married Tommy L. Martin on December 24, 1942. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1982. She married Hershel W. Knight on August 18, 1985. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2004. She married Eugene R. Barr in March 2005. He survives in Arthur.

Other survivors include: 2 Sons: Jim Martin and wife: Carolyn of Florissant, MO, Terry Martin and wife: Dorothy of Terre Haute, IN, 8 Grandchildren: Jimmy Martin, Lisa Place, Mindy Sanders, Deborah Burroughs, Marla Alupoaicei, Douglas DeShong, Colleen Rodriguez and Cecilia DeShong, 7 Great-Grandchildren: Taylor Martin, Eric Martin, Dylan Sanders, Mary Ellen Sanders, Benjamin Burroughs, Natalie Burroughs and Audrey Burroughs, 2 Sisters: Thelma Riddle of Garrett, IL and Wanda Myers of Atwood, IL

She was preceded in death by her Daughter: Mary Lou Perrine, Brother: Wilbur Oye, and Sisters: Wilma Taylor and Delores Grant

Memorials are suggested to the Arthur Home.

Georgia was a homemaker. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Tuscola and she loved to attend church functions.
