George Rickey Morgan, 64, of Arthur, died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Arthur Cemetery with Pastor Doug Davis officiating. There will be a visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur. The family requests casual attire.

George was born October 3, 1955 in Norwich, Connecticut, the son of George Delbert and Evelyn Burlison Morgan.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Larry (Margel) Morgan of Atwood; Wayne Morgan of Glasgow, Kentucky; 3 sisters, Sandra Ellen Runner of Greencastle, Indiana; Linda (Michael) Collins of Arthur; Karen (Thomas) Beheler of Sullivan; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; special friends, Gayle Cearlock, Frank Hayse, and Ed McHenry. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Michael William Collins; and great nephew, Jeremy Hale Jr.

George attended Arthur High School and had worked as a welder at Progress Industries in the Tank Division. He loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospital For Children.
