Genievie Rose Eastin, 93, of Tuscola, IL, died at 4:30 P.M., Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM, Saturday until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Mrs. Eastin was born on May 1, 1913 near Villa Grove, IL, the daughter of Elrah and Rose Cooper Hackett. She married Arlia J. Eastin on July 20, 1931 in Villa Grove, IL. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1968.

Survivors include: 1 Son: Elrah Eastin and wife: Myrtie of Tuscola, IL, 1 Daughter: Helen Dallas and husband: James of Tuscola, IL, 1 Brother: Russell Hackett of Newman, IL, 2 Sisters: Francis Simpson of Crawfordsville, IN, Lois Crossman of Tuscola, IL, 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her Parents,1 Daughter, 4 Sisters, 1 Great-Granddaughter, 1 Great-Grandson

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola United Church of Christ or Donor's Choice

Mrs. Eastin was a homemaker. She and her husband formerly farmed west of Tuscola for many years. She was a very active member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ. She loved to bowl and make quilts.
