Frederick L. Mosbarger, 60, of Champaign, IL, formerly of Atwood, IL, passed away at 11:23 am, Friday, April 1, 2011 at his residence.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with the Rev. Conrad Heisner officiating. Inurnment will be held at the Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood, IL with military graveside rites accorded.
Fred was born on May 30, 1950 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Bill R. and Barbara Livengood Mosbarger.
Survivors include his step-mother: Bill and Dorothy Mosbarger of Darien, IL, half-brother: William Mosbarger of Willow Brook, IL, half-sisters: Linda (Danny) DeVito of Orland Park, IL , Kathleen (Tom) Mazur of Hinsdale, IL, Gaile Booker of Sullivan, IL, Linda Curran and Connie (Dennis) Fedie both of Lovington, IL.
Fred's father passed away on April 7, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Fred retired from the University of Illinois, where he worked as a building services worker and maintenance worker. He was a member of the Lake Fork United Church of Christ, rural Atwood, IL. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Fred was a 1969 graduate of Atwood-Hammond High School. His passion in life was music. He was an accomplished saxophone player, having played in several local bands and he loved to portray "Santa Claus". Fred loved to travel and he loved people.

Parkland Band, Bement Band, Starlight Band, Bud's 40's Group, American Diabetes Association or Lake Fork United Church of Christ.
