Fred H. "Hank" Groves, Jr., 52, of Tuscola, IL, passed away suddenly at 9:01 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Hank was born on June 16, 1964 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Fred H. and Audrey J. Groves, Sr. He married Denise A. Branch on January 31, 1987 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.

Also surviving is his daughter: Emily Hallett and husband: Jordan of Tuscola, siblings: Bill (Paula) Evans of Okeechobee, FL, Marvin (Sue) Evans of Morris, IL, Terry (Brad) Hornaday of Tuscola, IL and Donna (Duane) Hunter of Charleston, IL, sister-in-law: Patti Groves of Tuscola, IL, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son: Cliff Groves and his brother: Everett "Jake" Groves.

Hank was a 1982 graduate of Tuscola Community High School. He worked as a postal clerk at the Champaign Post Office for over 20 years, he then worked at the Tuscola Post Office for 5 years.

He was a member of the Tuscola First Christian Church, Tuscola Moose Lodge, C-U Bass Club and the National Association of Letter Carriers #671, Champaign, IL. Hank really enjoyed being involved coaching and umpiring Tuscom Little League baseball games for many years. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
