Frank Antonio Carlet, 103, of Charleston, died at 8:16 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2024 at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Charleston.
Frank was born April 15, 1921 in Middlebury, Connecticut, the son of Francesco and Maria Conova Carlet. He married Geneva Krackenberger on June 27, 1945. They have celebrated 78 years together.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Carlet of Charleston; 2 daughters, Geneva Boyd of Springfield; Charlotte (Ken) Gano of Charleston; 1 son-James (Karen) Carlet of Mission, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons Frank Carlet III and Joseph Carlet.
Frank was a graduate of Rose Poly Tech in Terre Haute, Indiana and was the Superintendent of the CIPS Newton Power Plant. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 921 Madison Avenue, Charleston. Inurnment will be in the Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.
Memorials are suggested to the Charleston Food Pantry, 990 W. State Street, Charleston.
