Floyd L. Stutzman, 67, of Arthur, died at 5:50 PM Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 475 E State Rt 133, Chesterville, with Rev. Ivan Jess officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Saturday at the church. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is in charge of arrangements.
Floyd was born January 3, 1943 in Bourbon Township, the son of Levi J. and Amanda Graber Stutzman. He married Lucy Plank on Sept. 10, 1963 in Arthur.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Clara Harris and husband Douglas of Effingham; Mrs. Lizzie Phillips and husband Brad of Tuscola; Mrs. Mary Colwell and husband Brad of Carterville; 4 grandchildren, Austin Harris of Paris; Brady, Clarisa, and Emmalee Phillips all of Tuscola; and 1 sister, Mrs. Anna Kauffman of Arthur. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters, Martha Yoder and Mary Herschberger.
Floyd retired as a finishing contractor and had provided a taxi service for the Amish. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Arcola. He enjoyed L.A. Dodgers baseball, westerns, golfing, and bowling.
