Evelyn M. Wilson, 93, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 8:33 P.M., Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Arthur Home, Arthur, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Dave Dolan officiating. No Visitation will be held. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.

Mrs. Wilson was born on September 20, 1914 in Jefferson County, IL, the daughter of Hiram Hugh and Grace Maude Morgan Casey. She married Charles Vernon Wilson on September 16, 1933 in Charleston, IL. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2001.

Family includes: 3 Daughters: Barbara (Merle) Eyestone of Champaign, IL, Beverly Maddox (Corky Hodges) of New Braunfels, TX, Bonnie Chesnut (Jerry) of Atwood, IL, 1 Son: Steve (Lisa) Wilson of Morgan Hill, CA, Sister: Cleva Melcher (Bob) of Mt. Vernon, IL, 11 Grandchildren, and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her Sister: Irene Rough (Glenn) of Grayville, IL , a Grandson and a Great-Granddaughter.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. Mrs. Wilson and her husband moved to Atwood in 1953. After their retirement, they moved to New Braunfels, TX in 1976. After her husband's passing, she moved back to Illinois in 2001.

She was a member of the Livingway Church in San Antonio, TX, where she was a member of the Christian Womens Club, which held weekly bible studies. She was a member of the Arts & Crafts Club. She loved to camp, travel, work in her flower garden and sew.

Memorials are suggested to the Arthur Home, where monies will be used to purchase a tree to be planted in the new Eberhardt Village addition.
