Evelyn Brady Sullender, 89, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 2:33 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2015 at the United Church of Atwood, 210 North Main Street, Atwood, IL with Rev. Michael Drake officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church.

Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL is in charge of the arrangements.

Evelyn was born January 9, 1926 in Coles County, IL, the daughter of Clark R. and Ida F. White Brady. She married James E. Sullender on December 9, 1945 in Mattoon, IL. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2001.

Survivors include her daughter: Jimmee (Bob) Barger of Atwood, sons: Robert (Sue) Sullender of Bement, Kevin (Cheryl Broady) Sullender of Villa Grove and Michael (Donna King) Sullender of Tuscola, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Daisy Babb and cousin: Verneda Hubbart

Evelyn was a homemaker. She was a very active member of the United Church of Atwood. Evelyn was a member of the Ladies Home Extension, James Reeder American Legion Auxiliary and the Women's Club. She enjoyed quilting.

Memorials are suggested to the United Church of Atwood, American Legion Auxiliary or Carle Hospice.
