Evelyn Louise Shelton, 91, of Tolono, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 2:23 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the Helia Healthcare Center, Champaign, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main St., Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held from Noon until 2:00 PM, on Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery, Pesotum, IL.

Mrs. Shelton was born March 1, 1917 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Christian and Anna Sinbritski Kantlehner. She married Joseph William Shelton September 24, 1938 in New Albany, IN. He preceded her in death May 24, 1974.

She is survived by 1 Son: John Shelton and wife Carol of Tolono, IL; 1 Daughter: Janet Myers of Tuscola, IL; 8 Grandchildren: Teri (Clifford) Childress, Bonita (Jason) Jones, Cheryl (John) Miles, Lori (Ernie) Tonkinson, Brian Myers, Scott (Kristi) Myers, Chris Myers and Alan (Carol) Myers; 10 Great-Grandchildren: Austin Childress, Brianna Childress, Cameron Jones, Rebecca Tonkinson, Bradley Tonkinson, Lukas Myers, Alex Myers, Jake Myers, Savannah Myers and Tanner Myers.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 1 Son, 2 Brothers and 1 Sister.

Evelyn had a strong faith in God. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Shelton enjoyed doing alterations for people, reading, cooking, gardening, working crossword puzzles, and working with plastic canvas. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola Public Library.
