Eugene Richard Lindblom, 87, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 2:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Mattoon Rehab and Health Care Center, Mattoon, IL.

He was born Oct. 28, 1930 at home in Waukon, IA to Harold and Zeraph Lindblom. They preceded him in death.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Nola Jane of Tuscola. Also surviving are a daughter, Loree Lindblom (Allie Tichenor) of Tucson, AZ and a son, Lee Lindblom (Winnie) of Elberta, AL and two brothers, John and Ron.

Mr. Lindblom served his country in the US Navy and was an active member and past commander of the Tuscola American Legion Post #27. After retiring from General Electric where he was an electrical engineer, he owned a Mr. Steak restaurant for several years.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Kenneth Roedder officiating with military rites accorded. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola American Legion Post #27.
