Ethel I. "Goldie" Ziegler, 84, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 8:30 pm, Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL

Goldie was born on July 19, 1926 in Warren, OH, the daughter of Leroy and Ella Mae Henry Stansberry. She married Elmo Gene Ziegler on March 9, 1945 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1998.

Survivors include her son: Roy Ziegler of Tuscola, IL, daughter: Carolyn Graham and husband: John of Farmersville, TX, sister: Martha Beck of Urbana, IL

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Carl Frye, Lemuel Frye and Lowell Luttrell, sisters: Victoria Ward and Ruth Darling

Goldie formerly worked as a waitress at the Poplar Café in Tuscola and she worked as a cook at the Tuscola Nightingale and Tuscola Manor Nursing Homes for 10 years. She was a member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ and the Tuscola Order of Eastern Star # 44.
