Elmer Roscoe Humphreys, 90, of Lynn Haven, FL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, died at 10:47 PM, Friday, February 3, 2006 at his daughter's home in Lynn Haven, FL.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Hebron Cemetery, Madison, IN. No Visitation will be held. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Humphreys was born on July 2, 1915f in Madison, IN, the son of Oscar Irvin and Bertha M. Stites Humphreys. He married Opal Mae Hampton on February 24, 1937 in Madison, IN. She preceded him in death on July 16, 1996.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Wilma J. Jones and husband: Preston of Lynn Haven, FL, Shirley Taylor of Lynn Haven, FL, 1 Sister: Lyda Cravens of Goshen, OH, 7 Grandchildren: Regina Arndt, Selina Danaha, Preston Eugene Jones, II, Deniece Gaidry, Michael Martin, Marc Martin and Matt Martin, 18 Great-Grandchildren, 11 Great-Great Grandchildren, 2 Nieces and 1 Nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Humphreys worked as a maintenance supervisor for 26 years at the Cabot Corporation in Tuscola, IL, before his retirement in 1980. Mr. Humphrey's had lived in Lynn Haven, Florida for the past six years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuscola, IL and the Hiland Park Baptist Church, Panama City, FL. He was a lifetime member of the Gideon's International and a member of the National Grange. He served his country during World War II, as a member of the US Army.
