Elma Mae Long, 98, of Hammond, IL, passed away at 8:05 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL
Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Hammond Cemetery, Hammond, IL with Rev. Linda Peyla officiating. No Visitation will be held. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Long was born on June 4, 1911 in Atwood, IL, the daughter of Guy and Blanche Mae Heath Davis. She married Ralph H. Long on June 16, 1930 in Atwood, IL. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1993.
Survivors include her sons: Roger Long and wife: Wanda of Atwood, IL, Robert Long and wife: Barbara of Hammond, IL, 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hammond United Methodist Church
Mrs. Long was a homemaker and former bookkeeper for Long Chevrolet in Hammond, IL. She was a member of the Hammond United Methodist Church.
