Elizabeth Jane "Beth" Green, 94, of Arcola, died at 10:21 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Arthur Home.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, followed by a private family funeral service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Vince Rohn officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola.

Beth was born October 25, 1921 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of John R. and Esther Lowe Medlin. She was united in marriage to Philip Russell Green, D.O. on November 3, 1939; he preceded her in death on August 11, 2004.

Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Jayne (Curt) Turner of Decatur; grandchildren, Deborah Jayne (Drew) Johnson of Decatur; Aaron Philip (Michelle) Turner of Elmhurst; great grandchildren, Nicholas Andrew and Emily Jayne Johnson; Ryan Philip
and William Curtis Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark Edwin Green; sister, Annabelle Blankenhorn Lysing; and nephew, Stephen Blankenhorn.

Beth was a member of the Arcola United Methodist Church. For many years she worked in her husband's medical practice. She enjoyed reading, knitting, needlepoint, playing bridge, and golf. She also enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband.

Memorials are suggested to the Arcola United Methodist Church or Arcola Public Library.
