Obituary
Elise Scott, 83, of Arcola, died at 3:30 PM Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Gowin Parc in Mattoon.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2013 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. Donald Winch officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery in Lincoln. Visitation will be held from noon until 1:00 PM.
Elise was born July 26, 1929 in Sycamore, the daughter of Guy and Eleanor Ellwood Singer. She married Harold Scott in Sycamore on August 9, 1953; he preceded her in death on October 4, 2008.
She is survived by her niece, Sheryl Brooks of Hesperia, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, and one sister.
Elise taught at Arthur High School for 12 years and retired after teaching at Mattoon High School for 23 years.
She was a member of the Arcola Presbyterian Church and memorials are suggested to the church c/o Shrader Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Arcola, IL 61910.
