Obituary
Elfrieda Mae Russell, 99, of Arthur, died at 3:00 AM Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Arthur Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Jan. 14, 2011 at the Vine Street Christian Church, Arthur, with Reverends Rick Williams and Harold Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.
Mrs. Russell was born August 21, 1911 in Arcola, the daughter of Naaman and Elsie Keal Torrey, Jr. She was united in marriage to John F. Russell in Bourbon on June 28, 1930; he preceded her in death on June 4, 1988.
Survivors include 2 sons, Kenneth (Nancy) Russell of Humboldt; Jack (Nancy) Russell of Arthur; 3 daughters, Barbara Fore of Humboldt; Doris (Harold) Beaty of Arcola; Nancy (Jerry) Reynolds of Tuscola; 17 Grandchildren; 37 Great Grandchildren; 15 Great Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, and 2 sisters, and 1 granddaughter.
Mrs. Russell had worked as a cook at Angel's Café in Arthur. She was a member of the Vine Street Christian Church.
