Eldon L. Foltz, 94, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 6:10 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Newman Rehab and Health Care Center, Newman, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday.

Burial with military graveside rites will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, rural Oakland, IL

Eldon was born on March 15, 1924 in Oakland, IL, the son of Elbert H. and Grace E. Miller Foltz.

Survivors include his son: Gary (Marney) Foltz of Tuscola, daughter: Rhonda (Gary) Alfredson of South Elgin, IL, grandchildren: Doug Foltz, Carrie Bubb, Amy Ogden, Erin Davis and Kelsey Alfredson, great-grandchildren: Will Foltz, Kate Foltz, Sam Bubb, Kameron Davis, Jack Bubb, Kacie Davis and Olivia Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and 3 sisters.

Memorials are suggested to the Newman Rehab and Health Care Center.

Eldon retired in 1986 from USI Chemical Company where he worked as an operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union. Eldon was a former member of the Brocton Christian Church and attended the Tuscola First Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was an avid Fighting Illini fan. He served his country as a member of the US Navy during World War II.
