Edwin Franklin "Andy" Anderson, 86, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 8:43 AM, Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the funeral home. Private family graveside services will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Andy was born on April 16, 1921 in Decatur, IL, the son of Edward Franklin and Wathena Murry Anderson. He married Verna Clary on October 18, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. She preceded him in death on December 29, 1995. He married Ruth M. Fetherolf Rodenbaugh on February 25, 1998 in Mesa, AZ. She preceded him in death on November 27, 2000.

He is survived by his son: Lloyd "Andy" Anderson and wife: Rosemary of Inglis, FL, Daughter: Ellen Leonard and husband: Matt of Tuscola, IL, Son: William "Bill" Anderson and wife: Irene of Yorkville, IL, Daughter: Barbara Anderson and fiancee: Elmer Knapper of Eldridge, IA, 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 2 Brothers and 7 Sisters

Mr. Anderson worked as an Iron Worker for JL Allen Company, Tuscola, IL for over 45 years. He was a World War II US Navy Veteran. He was a long time member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge, Tuscola Elks Club, Tuscola American Legion Post #27, and the Tuscola Warrior VFW Post #10009. He was a member of the Central Christian Church, Decatur, IL. Andy loved to play golf and was an avid gardener.
